TEACHING: 

Marcio holds the position of “Head of the Percussion Department” of the Jazz Department at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg, (Hamburg Academy of Music and Drama).
He leads the World Music Ensemble' and coaches the rhythm section of the HfMT-Big Band.
He has also led workshops for the Pop and Classical Music departments.

Marcio is the Director of Percussion Studies at the "Hamburg School of Music".

Along the years Marcio has coached pop, rock and jazz groups as well as individual musicians.
Lately Marcio has been focusing on teaching the following subjects:

- Advanced Rhythm Training.
- Interaction, comping and improvisation.
- Finger and hand-techniques for hand drumming.
- Odd-Meters for drummers and percussionists.
- Complementing function of drums and percussion playing.
- Finding one’s own voice on the instrument.
